Our company and our History
Meat Brothers really is owned by 3 brothers who are fourth generation cattle farmers and meat traders! Our grandfather started a meat company in Zimbabwe 50 years ago, and our father started a meat company in South Africa in 1977, which we joined in the 1990’s.
That company, which focused on providing meat to the catering and hospitality industry, was sold in 2013. We decided to launch a new meat company in 2015, where we would provide our well known quality, good value
and service directly to the retail customer.
We commissioned a purpose-built plant which is situated in Sebenza, Edenvale. The facility complies with South African Export Standards and incorporates a first-in first out storage and ageing cold-room, to ensure top quality and well-aged cuts of meat.
We have partnered with some of the best butchery and packaging machine suppliers to ensure that our product stays fresh all the way to your kitchen.

This reflects our belief that while you should always buy good quality meat, it shouldn’t cost a fortune. Our meat is always well priced, without any compromise on quality. It’s all about value and ensuring that the customer is satisfied!
